Where to start in Texas
At any accredited Texas program, start with the Texas Academy of PAs (TAPA). Student members can apply for both the TAPA Foundation Scholarship ($500 to $1,000) and the Past Presidents' Scholarship ($500), with two essay questions and a separate submission for each. Both need a faculty letter and transcripts. The 2026 window ran July 1 to August 2.
The rest are for one school: four at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and one each at UT Health San Antonio and UNT Health Science Center. Few of their pages state an amount or a process, so ask your program.
