Dr. Forbes is a physician assistant educator, researcher, and assessment specialist with more than 17 years of experience in PA education. Her expertise includes educational assessment, student performance analytics, remediation, learning science, and predictive modeling of PANCE outcomes.

Dr. Forbes is a physician assistant educator, researcher, and assessment specialist with more than 17 years of experience in PA education. Her expertise includes educational assessment, student performance analytics, remediation, learning science, and predictive modeling of PANCE outcomes.

A former member of the PAEA End of Curriculum Exam Development Board, Dr. Forbes has extensive experience with exam development, standard setting, performance benchmarking, and educational quality improvement. Her research has focused on identifying factors associated with academic success and PANCE performance, as well as developing evidence-based strategies to support struggling learners.

Dr. Forbes has authored numerous scholarly publications and national presentations and serves as a consultant to PA programs seeking to improve student outcomes, assessment practices, and program performance. She combines her educational expertise with prior clinical experience in family medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and orthopedics.

Assistant Professor & Director of Didactic Education · Rosalind Franklin University

Misty is currently Assistant Professor and Director of Didactic Education for the PA Program ranked #14 in the country at Rosalind Franklin University. With more than six years teaching clinical medicine topics—including family practice, antibiotic stewardship, physical assessment, clinical procedures, pharmacology, and pulmonary medicine—she brings deep expertise in translating complex concepts into practical reasoning skills. Misty has accumulated over a decade of hands-on clinical experience across family medicine, urgent care, primary care, occupational health, preventive medicine, and public health before returning full-time to education, and she continues practicing as a clinician and Faculty Advisor for the university’s student-run Interprofessional Community Clinic while championing health equity and inclusive learning environments.

Professor Kunes is currently an Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Mount Union and has over a decade of experience in PA Education. He brings over 27 years of clinical experience across internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, and family practice directly into the Clinical Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Behavioral & Preventive Medicine courses he teaches. He has conducted research on integrating Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) into PA curricula and continues to practice clinically in emergency medicine.

Genny is the Founding Director of Didactic Education and former Chair of the Curriculum Committee for the Xavier University PA program. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, she has created and delivered course content across dermatology, oncology, hematology, HEENT, neurology, endocrinology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, behavioral health, geriatrics, rheumatology, orthopedics, infectious disease, emergency medicine and surgery. Professor Culotta’s clinical experience includes four years in the neurocritical care center.

Genny is the Founding Director of Didactic Education and former Chair of the Curriculum Committee for the Xavier University PA program.
