Where to start in Georgia
Start with the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA). Its Student Affairs and Diversity Committee scholarships pay $1,500 and require GAPA membership and at least one completed term at a Georgia program. The Student Affairs award also requires a 3.2 GPA. The Butch Dent Scholarship pays $1,000.
If you live in one of nine counties, including Gwinnett and Athens-Clarke, the Sara D. Hanes Memorial Scholarship pays $1,000 to health care students at Georgia schools; its last deadline was May 31, 2026. Augusta University's two awards are for its own students.
